An internship gives a student the opportunity for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills. - Highlight what the role is looks like - It is important to communicate and clearly show the task what they have to do. Transparency will attract more people to any organization. It is vital to let them know and have proper communication on salary ( if paying ) , role , working hours and mode to give them better understand around the internship.
- Make it with selective candidates - Organization may attract many talented people when offering an internship. Since this is a cost of selection HR generalists should select most valuable and talented people for the program to get better output. OR that HR department can easily go with the applications and screening cv to call them to an interview before offerings the internship.
- Give meaningful and work rather than get coffee - Organization must provide proper work and meaning full things and treated as organizational employees since they have fresh competencies which beneficial for the organization. instead of that providing them a proper program and task they will have trust and loyalty about the organization that they have a value within this organization. It will cause to enhance company name within other parties as well.
- Invest in trainings - Provide training and development for interns may helps organization to maximize their potential and to het high performance with enhanced skills.
- Show them how important they are - While organization showing them that how impactful they are to the organization will enrich the motivation and willingness to work. From that they are able to see the big picture of how they make influence on achieving organizational goals
